Love the one you're with-you!

- How will you take care of and love your one and precious life? What do you do each day to support your well being? Are you gentle and kind to your body? Do you get enough sleep? Do you have the energy to accomplish your goals? If you truly love yourself you will treat yourself as you would a treasured friend. You would find the best quality foods and beverages possible and serve them with love and elegance. You would praise your friend’s accomplishments and patiently support their improvements. Yet we often do not treat ourselves with such love or respect. For whatever reason we do not give quality to ourselves, yet we expect quality results. We can change that by learning how to care for ourselves body and mind, using food, relaxation, and gentle movement.

One of the easiest and least expensive ways to improve your health is to get at least 8 hours of solid quality sleep. Dr Matthew Walker explains why in his recent book “Why We Sleep”. Going to bed by 10PM is a good start. This means turning off computer, phone and TV screens early. Avoiding caffeine will also help. Think of sleep as a treat instead of as unproductive time. Our body heals while we sleep. The brain cleanses itself during sleep.

You only have one body and without care and attention it may not function as you want it to. Be good to yourself and give yourself the gift of learning about optimal nutrition and healthy habits. Love your one wild and precious life.
